TEEN Python Coding camp
Stay at a prestigious English private school and learn the popular python programming language. As a break from coding, students will enjoy a one-day excursion to Portsmouth or Brighton during the course. Student's need to bring their own laptop.
For fluent English language speakers. Does not include English lessons.
who is this for?
This course is for students looking to grasp coding fundamentals while building the confidence and skills to go on to code independently. While this is a beginners’ course, many teens who have already started learning Python on their own find our “back to basics” approach very helpful to fill gaps in their fundamental skills and understanding.
Students will acquire the foundations of computer science to continue their independent or school-based learning in future. Our goal is for each student to feel confident coding, and be able to continue learning on their own with the tools and resources available to them. Students will work with Fire Tech tutors on computing concepts including loops, variables, conditionals, functions, libraries and GUI interfaces. Each concept is reinforced with independent mini-projects. Students will take home a certificate with personal tutor feedback as well as a Fire Tech t-shirt.
